Adjusting to parenting can be a landmine. One can experience joy, shame, frustration, adoration, and heartbreak, all in a day’s work, while living in a society that often isolates, judges, and martyrs parents. It is natural for this new stage of life to bring up things from past stages, which can be confusing and dysregulating. I hope to provide a different experience. Whether you are a parent for the first or fifth time, a biological parent, or a foster or adoptive parent, whether you are a parent who has experienced loss or infertility, or are the parent of a rainbow baby, I am here to support you as you support yours.
Eight years of clinical experience working with children and families, attachment, complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, and general stress management has afforded me a unique perspective. I am trained in EMDR, Maternal Mental Health (including perinatal mood disorders), and hold a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher certificate.
My practice is also open to those seeking help for concerns beyond parenting, such as anxiety, trauma, or just the stress of life. Together, we will take a personalized and eclectic approach to find what offers you the most support, including addressing both mind and body. I hope to meet you wherever you might be, and help you get to where you’d like to go.
